By creating an account on or accessing Filing Fan, operated by Filing Fan LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not access or use the Service.
Filing Fan provides access to financial data parsed from publicly available regulatory filings and other authoritative data sources for informational purposes only. Features include financial statements, filings browsers, watchlists, and data exports. The Service is delivered through the Filing Fan web application and, for eligible users, a programmatic interface comprising a read-only HTTP API and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server intended for use with AI assistants and developer tools. Filing Fan does not independently verify, audit, or guarantee the underlying data.
You may create an account using supported third-party authentication providers. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
Browsing financial data and public filings on Filing Fan is open to any visitor without an account. Creating an account starts a free trial of the Pro subscription. After the trial period ends, a paid Pro subscription is required to continue using Pro features. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds will be issued.
THE DATA PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE IS SOURCED FROM PUBLICLY AVAILABLE REGULATORY FILINGS AND OTHER THIRD-PARTY SOURCES AND IS PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. FILING FAN DOES NOT GUARANTEE AND MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY DATA. THE DATA IS NOT INTENDED TO CONSTITUTE INVESTMENT ADVICE, FINANCIAL ADVICE, OR ANY OTHER FORM OF PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.
The Service, including its design, software, user interface, branding, trademarks, and all proprietary technology, is the exclusive property of Filing Fan and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; scrape or harvest data from the web application outside of the official API; redistribute or resell data as a standalone data feed; use data as AI training data to compete with the Service; reverse engineer the Service; circumvent security or rate limiting features; or share API keys with any third party.
The Service enforces rate limits and usage restrictions to ensure fair access for all users. We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or terminate access for accounts that exhibit abusive or excessive usage patterns.
API access is authenticated using secret API keys issued to your Filing Fan account. You are solely responsible for keeping your API keys confidential and for all activity that occurs under any key issued to your account.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. FILING FAN EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FILING FAN PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS OR $10.00 USD.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Filing Fan Parties from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your reliance on any Data, or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Illinois.
